I completed my Bachelor in Social Science (Psychology) in 2008 through Charles Sturt University, Bathurst.
Being passionate about social change, I utilised free time volunteering with children whose parents were incarcerated, and working with people who had severe mental health needs.
This gave me both the academic and practical skills to begin my journey into the community services sector.
I have completed a Graduate Certificate in Men's Behaviour change through the Education Centre Against Violence.
This Graduate Certificate is a specialised qualification with rigorous expectations and screening. It teaches advanced methods of recognising and managing risk.
I am proud to have achieved this to better understand the drivers and best practice methods of addressing domestic abuse.
I have a Diploma in Counselling that I use to help inform best practice interventions when working with individuals.
I apply the principles learned in this course to help inform my supervision approaches and consultations with organisations and sector leaders.
I have completed a Diploma in Management. I have used this during my years of experience managing staff at various levels from team leader to Executive Manager.
I enjoy building positive team cultures and growing the expertise in a team.
Over my career I've completed numerous additional courses and qualifications including DRUMBEAT, Positive Parenting Program facilitator, Rhythm to Recovery program facilitator, SMART Recovery facilitation, Aboriginal Cultural Awareness, Motivational Interviewing and many more.
These complimentary courses help broaden my skillset and experience for your benefit.
With over 18 years of experience in community services spanning various sectors, I have cultivated significant professional relationships that can be leveraged to your advantage.
